As a photographer from Puerto Rico, I'm enthusiastic about capturing the wonder of life, especially when it's filled with joy and celebration. An amazing couple expecting their first child, Milady and Peco, were recently my subjects for a photo shoot. Due to its lush vegetation and lively ambiance, we decided that a park in Old San Juan would make the ideal location for their maternity photo shoot.
In the late afternoon, when the light was warm and mellow, we began the shoot. The park's rich foliage and vibrant flowers made a wonderful backdrop for Milady's golden yellow maternity dress. We spent some time walking around the park and stopping to take pictures in various spots. In a shaded area behind under a beautiful pergola, we managed to get some natural shots of the pair. More posed photos were also taken, including one in which Milady was holding her belly as Peco was gazing lovingly down at her.
After that, we moved on to gazebo where we got some pictures of the couple against the backdrop of this romantic park in the light of the setting sun.
Milady and Peco were a dream to photograph as a pair. They were very in love and looking forward to the baby's arrival. They put their trust in NAMI photography to record this priceless moment in their lives, and I'm extremely appreciative of that.
Safety tips for maternity shoots
Always be aware of your surroundings.
Wear comfortable shoes.
If you're shooting outside, protect yourself from the sun, use sunscreen, drink water and stay in the shade when possible.
Additional tips
Bring a friend or family member with you so they can assist you with the shoot. They can pose with you, hold your belongings, and snap shots of the action behind the scenes.
As your photographer, I will make sure to go over your shooting goals in advance. We can then make sure you get the desired images.
Unwind and relish the occasion! Maternity photo shoots are a wonderful way to commemorate this important period of your life.
Creative ideas for maternity photo shoots in a park
Make use of the park's natural features, such as the trees, flowers, and water, as props.
Find a location with a view, such a mountain range or a metropolitan skyline, for some gorgeous background pictures.
Include some of the park's amenities in your photo shoot, including dog strolling, playground use, or picnicking.
Make up your own positions and angles. A park offers countless opportunities for maternity photography.
I hope that this blog post has encouraged you to think about having your own pregnancy photos taken in an Old San Juan park. It is the ideal location to record this momentous time in your life with its beautiful foliage, lively ambiance, and breathtaking views.
